Designed by Peter Moore and released on 19 January 2024 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Phantom/Coconut Milk/Amber Brown/Star Blue. The Air Jordan 1 has been the most rewritten shoe in sneakers since Peter Moore drew it for a rookie Michael Jordan and it landed in 1985, complete with the NBA uniform-policy fight that Nike flipped into the Banned campaign. Four decades on, the Low is where Jordan Brand runs its most interesting experiments, and the Air Jordan 1 Low SE Phantom Repaired Denim Swoosh is one of them. Instead of a clean leather Swoosh, this pair wears a patchwork of faded, distressed denim, built to look like a favourite pair of jeans someone kept alive with thread instead of throwing out. It arrived in January 2024 under style code FZ5042-041, in Phantom, Coconut Milk, Amber Brown and Star Blue.
The denim Swoosh wants denim near it, not on it. Straight-leg raw indigo jeans, a cream or oatmeal knit and a brown leather belt runs that amber heel tab through the whole fit. For warmer days, off-white wide-leg trousers, a washed navy overshirt and a plain tee lets the indigo patch be the only pattern in play. Air Jordan 1 Lows fit true to size, with a snug leather toe box that softens after a few wears, so go half a size up only if you run wide.
