Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 8 February 2025 as part of the Air Jordan 5 line. This release has a nubuck upper in Black/White/Metallic Silver/Fire Red. The Air Jordan 5 belongs to the run of Tinker Hatfield models that gave each number its own character rather than iterating a single idea. This Retro OG carries the Metallic finish, the version most associated with the model's original identity, and it arrives under the Reimagined label with style code HF3975 001, which means the pair has been finished to look aged rather than factory-new. That is an unusual move for a line whose resale market rewards deadstock condition above everything. Instead of promising a shoe that stays pristine, this one is handed over already carrying a decade of implied wear, and asks you to keep going from there.
