Released on 10 May 2024 and part of the Jordan Jumpman Jack line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/University Red/Black/Muslin. Travis Scott is a Jordan Brand collaborator whose Cactus Jack work covers the Air Jordan 1, 4 and 6, and the Jumpman Jack TR is the point where that relationship stops reinterpreting the archive and produces a shape of its own. University red is the most declarative finish it could take, red having functioned as a Jordan brand colour since the Chicago era. Where his earlier work altered existing models, this one carries his name in the model name itself, a level of authorship the brand has extended to very few people. That matters in a line whose namesake, Michael Jordan, signed in 1984 and still draws royalties on what the brand sells.
