Air Jordan Jumpman Slide Gs Black White

Released on 5 May 2024 and part of the Jordan Jumpman Slide line. This release has a synthetic upper in Black/White/White. The Jumpman is the house mark, a silhouette of Jordan mid leap with legs split, created after Peter Moore had Jordan recreate the pose in Bulls gear. On a basketball shoe it is one detail among many. On a slide it is the entire product. This is what a standalone division looks like once it has been running since 1997 with its own apparel and accessories: the logo becomes strong enough to sell an object with no performance story, no colourway heritage and no model number. Black and white is the most neutral possible reading of it, and a grade school size run puts the mark on the feet of the audience the brand needs next.
