Released on 4 March 2025 and part of the Jordan Spizike line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/Anthracite/Coconut Milk/Varsity Red. Sail and Anthracite is the pairing that reads as considered rather than sporty: an aged off white against a warm dark grey, a palette that came into sneakers through fashion collaboration rather than through team kits. Jordan Brand's collaboration programme runs across streetwear and luxury, with Off-White under Virgil Abloh, Dior, Comme des Garcons, Supreme and KAWS all named partners, and that programme is why tones like these now feel native to the brand. The Spizike itself takes its name from Spike Lee, director of Nike's earliest Air Jordan advertising and its on screen Mars Blackmon. So the shoe is a reference wearing a colourway from a different part of the brand's history entirely.
This one dresses up further than most Jordans. Recipe one: charcoal wool trousers, a cream knit, a grey overcoat, and the sail and anthracite split sits inside a tailored palette without breaking it. Recipe two: black jeans, a white tee, a grey zip hoodie, the plain version that lets the tonal shoe carry the interest. Cream or grey socks suit it better than bright white. True to size for most, half up if wide. Do not use whitening cleaners on the sail panels. Brush dry, use mild soap on a damp cloth, dry away from heat, and store out of sunlight so the two tones do not drift apart.
Jordan Brand's collaborations are what pulled it out of pure sport and into fashion, with Off-White under Virgil Abloh, Dior, Comme des Garcons, Supreme and KAWS on the design side, and Travis Scott, Drake, Billie Eilish, J Balvin, Eminem and Nicki Minaj on the music side. That programme sits on top of the original cultural collision of basketball and hip hop, staged in part by Spike Lee's Mars Blackmon advertising and carried in the music of 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube and Jay-Z. Sail and Anthracite is the fashion side's palette, arriving on a model named after the advertising side's director.
This is the most legible way to build a two tone shoe. Sail carries the base as a soft, slightly yellowed white, and Anthracite sits on the overlays and structural panels, so the Spizike Low's layered geometry stays completely readable while the palette stays quiet. Nike Air cushioning has been the line's structural constant since the Air Jordan II. Style code FQ1759 116 identifies this pair. Sail is a deliberate off white, which is useful to know before you clean it: aggressive whitening products will fight the intended tone and leave you with a patchy shoe. Mild soap, a damp cloth and a soft brush are the correct approach.
