Released on 27 May 2022 and part of Nike's Air Trainer 1 line. This release has a textile upper in Light Chocolate/Rust Pink/Archaeo Brown. The Air Trainer 1 came from Nike's cross training era, a shoe designed to survive a court, a weights room and a run without belonging to any of them, and its forefoot strap became the most recognisable piece of hardware Nike ever put on a trainer. The SP suffix marks this as a special project build, and the name on it identifies it as a Travis Scott collaboration in a coriander colourway, a muted olive green that pushes the shoe away from the primary colours the model wore originally. Nike has been reworking its own archive this way for decades, handing a shape it engineered in the 1980s to an outside voice and letting the palette do the arguing.
Two ways to wear it. Wide brown or khaki cargo trousers with a cream hoodie, an earth toned outfit where the shoe blends rather than pops, which is exactly how muted collaborations are meant to sit. Or contrast it: black straight jeans and a black tee, so the olive upper becomes the only warm element in the outfit. It suits dry days and city walking, and it looks wrong under anything formal. Size true, then set the strap once and leave it. Suede is the vulnerable material here, so brush dry, use a suede eraser on marks, spray protect before first wear, and never let a wet pair dry near heat, which stiffens the nap permanently.
Nike's habit of letting outside voices reshape its shoes runs alongside its habit of absorbing whole brands, from Converse in 2003 to the virtual sneaker studio RTFKT, and it works because the underlying silhouettes are already common property. From the 1980s onward Nike models became staples of mainstream American youth dress and status objects in urban and hip hop fashion, which is what gives a recoloured trainer cultural weight rather than novelty value. Coriander did most of the work here.
A cross trainer chassis: leather and suede panels layered over a structured midfoot, a padded collar, and the signature forefoot strap that locks the foot down during lateral movement. Nike Air is sealed inside the midsole, cushioning you feel rather than see, and the outsole runs a dense rubber pattern intended for hard indoor surfaces. Coriander sits across the upper as an earth tone, which changes the shoe completely: the same silhouette that once read as gym equipment now reads as workwear. Collaborator builds on this model typically add reversed detailing and alternate branding, so look at the panels and the heel rather than expecting a new shape. The strap should be adjusted properly, since it genuinely changes fit.
