Nike Dunk Low Court Purple

Purple sits surprisingly well with grey and cream rather than with black. Try grey wide leg trousers, a cream crewneck and white socks so the purple is the only saturated element. The second recipe is denim based, with mid wash straight leg jeans and a white tee, where the shoe carries all the colour. Avoid pairing it with other strong colours. Dunks run long, so a half size down works for narrow feet, though the forefoot stays wide. Foam clean the white base and midsole regularly, since white ages faster than the purple, and keep them out of prolonged direct sun to stop the purple going dusty.

The Dunk left college basketball for skateboarding and then for everyday dress, joining Air Force 1s and Air Max models among the Nike shoes that became staples of mainstream American youth wardrobes and returned again in the 1990s and 2000s casual wave. Purple has always been one of the strong Dunk colourways because it is specific enough to feel like a team shoe without belonging to a team most people follow.
