Released on 28 May 2025 and part of New Balance's 1906 line. This release has a mesh upper in Arid Stone. Arid Stone is a desert neutral, a warm pale grey brown with no shine to it, and it suits the 1906R because that shape is technical enough to need calming down. The model number is the founding date: New Balance began in 1906 near Boston as the New Balance Arch Support Company, and the 1906 line signs the brand's own history onto a running derived silhouette.
