New Balance 327 Black Grey Matter

Released on 28 June 2023 and part of New Balance's 327 line. This release has a suede upper in Black/Grey Matter. New Balance reached about 6.5 billion dollars in revenue in 2023 with roughly eight thousand employees, and it is still privately held under Jim Davis, who bought it in 1972 when six people made about thirty pairs a day. A company that size which answers to nobody can afford to design a shoe as unserious as the 327, a retro running shape with the block N inflated far past any functional purpose. Black Grey Matter is the restrained way to own it. Black holds the silhouette down and grey matter, a cool mid grey with a hint of green in it, softens the logo so the shoe reads as a shape rather than as a billboard. It is the 327 for people who like the design but not the noise.
