Black Moonbeam is the 327 at its most graphic, a black upper cut against a pale off white sole and branding, built on the women's last. The shoe takes New Balance's block N, normally a modest mark on a side wall, and stretches it across almost the whole panel, an idea borrowed from the brand's own seventies cross country and trail running shoes where the outsole wrapped over the toe and branding was drawn deliberately large. In high contrast, that oversized N becomes the entire design.
