Released on 23 April 2024 and part of New Balance's 550 line. This release has a leather upper in White/Green. New Balance moving a court shoe onto a golf course is less strange than it sounds, because the company has always crossed sports rather than owning one. It began in 1906 solving foot support for working people, built its name in running, and has since gone into basketball, football and beyond. The 550 Golf takes the archive basketball silhouette that the brand revived into everyday wear and rebuilds it for a round, keeping the low profile and the panelled leather while changing what happens underfoot. White with green is the obvious and correct colour choice: it is the palette of the course itself, and it lets the shoe pass as a normal sneaker until you look at the sole.
Utility
