New Balance 550 Royal Blue

Released on 1 December 2020 and part of New Balance's 550 line. This release has a leather upper in White/Team Royal. Royal blue on the 550 is the most honest thing you can do to it. This is a low, leather cut shape from New Balance's court side, and a single strong colour against a clean base is exactly the visual grammar that kind of shoe came from. New Balance's basketball commitments are real, from its NBA sponsorship to signing Kawhi Leonard, whose OMN1S signature shoe launched in February 2019, and the 550 is the archive expression of that world worn off the court. Royal blue keeps it in team colours without tying it to any team, which is why it works as everyday footwear rather than as merchandise.
