A croc textured finish borrows the language of luxury leather goods and applies it to a gym shoe, and a Morse code motif turns branding into something you have to decode instead of read. Both moves depend on the base being so familiar that any change registers. That is the privilege a shape earns after decades of being one of the most worn shoes in the world.
