Olive shifts it away from the basketball reference entirely, landing somewhere between a canvas trainer and a leather sneaker, which is why it sits comfortably in wardrobes that have no interest in hoop heritage.
Wear it with sand or khaki chinos and a white oxford shirt for a clean warm weather look where the olive ties the whole thing together. Alternatively, pair with black denim and an olive field jacket, letting the shoe echo the outerwear so the outfit reads as one decision. Good for daily college and office wear, errands, and long walking days in dry conditions. Court Vision fits close and true to size, with a slightly narrow toe box, so if you have wide feet consider a half size up. Nike's low top court shape became mainstream American youth dress from the 1980s onward, carried by basketball and then by hip hop, and it never left. The Court Vision is where the codes reach everyday buyers rather than collectors, which is a genuine part of the brand's story: by 1980 Nike already held roughly half the US athletic shoe market, and it got there by making the recognisable thing available.
