Released on 18 September 2024 and part of the Killshot line. This release has a leather upper in Black/Sail/Baroque Brown. The Killshot is a court shoe that stopped pretending. Low, narrow, gum soled in its best known form and cut from leather, it is closer to a 1970s tennis trainer than to anything performance driven, which is why it became a quiet staple for people who wanted a Nike that behaved like a dress shoe. This pair is the LTR PRM build in black, part of a Tiempo Pack, borrowing the name Nike uses on its football line. That is a deliberate cross reference: Tiempo means leather, touch and the kind of understated material quality that football boots were built on before synthetics took over. Black turns the whole thing into the most wearable version of the shoe Nike makes.
Two ways. Tailored down: charcoal or navy wool trousers with a clean break, a fine gauge knit, no visible sock, the black leather standing in for a derby. Casual: black or dark indigo jeans, a white tee and a brown or navy jacket, letting the slim profile keep the outfit from getting bulky. The Killshot cut is narrow and low volume, so wide feet should size up and everyone should try a thin sock first. Black leather is forgiving in rain but hates heat, so dry naturally if soaked. Condition every couple of months, polish the toe lightly rather than heavily, and let the creases develop rather than fighting them.
Nike's football history is one of its most cinematic. That is the sensibility a Tiempo reference carries: leather, feel, restraint. It sits oddly and well on a small tennis silhouette. The wider Nike story is one of volume and noise, from Just Do It in 1988 to a brand that held about half the US athletic market by 1980, and the Killshot is the exception that proves it. LTR means leather and PRM means the premium material grade, and on a shape this simple that is the entire product. A Killshot has almost no design to hide behind: a low collar, a slim toe, a thin cup sole and a small Swoosh. Everything depends on how the leather sits, how the panels are stitched and how the shoe creases after a month. A Tiempo referenced pack points at the football boot tradition of soft, broken in leather that shapes to the foot rather than resisting it. Condition the leather rather than washing it, use a shoe tree or paper to keep the toe from collapsing, and expect creasing across the vamp. On black leather, that reads as character.
