Designed by Tinker Hatfield and released on 7 February 2026 as part of the Air Jordan 4 line. This release has the Pale Ivory/Sierra Red/Tough Red colourway. A Valentine's Day Air Jordan 4 takes the most structural shoe in the early line and softens it with pinks and reds, which is a bigger contrast than it sounds. The 4 belongs to the run Tinker Hatfield led after the III, when the Air Jordan became a design series with its own recognisable parts rather than a single signature model. Holiday releases like this exist because Jordan Brand operates as its own Nike division with a full women's line, free to build around a date rather than a season. The result is a shoe that keeps every piece of the 4's engineering and dresses it in a palette the original never considered.
Pink on a chunky shoe works best with clean, simple clothing. Try black straight leg jeans and a black knit so the shoe is the only soft colour in the outfit, which keeps it from reading as a theme. Or lean into it with grey sweatpants, a white tee and a cream jacket for a warmer, tonal look where the reds sit as accents. The 4 has a roomy last, so consider going down if you are between sizes, and use the cages to lock the midfoot. Keep it out of rain, brush rather than scrub, and store it boxed so light panels do not discolour.
The women's side of Jordan Brand is real rather than decorative: signed athletes include Maya Moore and Jordin Canada, and the brand's music collaborators include Billie Eilish and Nicki Minaj alongside Travis Scott and Drake. Themed women's releases sit in that space, made for wearers who came to the line through culture rather than through the NBA. Air Jordan reached that audience the same way it reached everyone else, through hip hop and through Nike's Spike Lee directed advertising, and the resale market it anchors, valued at roughly two billion dollars, now treats holiday exclusives as some of the hardest pairs to find later.
You still get the parts that define the model: caged eyelets that let you tune midfoot tension separately from the collar, open netting panels that vent a tall upper, and the moulded heel that holds the foot. Nike Air cushioning has run through the line from the Air Jordan II onward, and on the 4 it is what makes the shoe comfortable well beyond an hour. Soft pinks and reds show scuffing more clearly than dark colourways, especially on the wings and toe, and any lighter panel will pick up dye from dark denim. Brush gently, clean the midsole often, and protect the upper before the first wear rather than after the first mark.
