The Adizero Evo SL White Black comes out of a very specific moment for adidas. Tigst Assefa ran 2:11:53 in Berlin and destroyed the women's marathon world record by more than two minutes, wearing the Adizero Adios Pro Evo 1, a 134 gram racer that cost 500 dollars and existed in almost no quantity. The Evo SL takes that shoe's shape and its foam philosophy and puts them on something normal runners can actually buy. Style code JH6206 is the Cloud White and Core Black launch pair, oversized black Three Stripes cutting across a bright white upper and folding down into the sculpted white midsole. Loud in silhouette, quiet in colour. It is the pair people mean when they say the white Evo SL.
Run it two ways. For training, put it under split shorts and a technical tee for long runs, steady efforts and easy days with short fast bursts, which is where this foam is happiest. It is a daily trainer, not a race day shoe, so keep the plated pair for the start line. Off duty, the White Black works with black tapered joggers or dark straight jeans and a grey crew, and the oversized stripes do the styling for you. Adizero Evo SL sizing is true to size in length, so take your usual adidas number, though the forefoot and toe box run spacious, so a slightly thicker sock helps narrow feet.
