Air Jordan 1 High Hyper Crimson

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 24 January 2019 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Neutral Grey/Hyper Crimson-White-Black. Hyper Crimson is an Air Jordan 1 High built on the original tooling and coloured in a shade the 1985 palette never had access to. When Nike signed a Chicago Bulls rookie on 26 October 1984, it was losing basketball to Converse and adidas and needed a face; the shoe Peter Moore drew with Bruce Kilgore released on 1 April 1985 and sold out its initial 50,000 pairs. Everything since has been variation. A hyper crimson, a hot orange leaning red, sits at the loud end of that variation, using the shape's authority to carry a colour that would never have been approved as team kit.
