Air Jordan 1 Mid Gs Game Royal

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 20 November 2024 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Game Royal/Black/White. Game Royal is the strongest blue in the Jordan vocabulary, and on the Mid cut it does something the red colourways cannot: it separates the shoe from the Chicago palette entirely while keeping the outline everyone recognises. The 1 came from Peter Moore working with Bruce Kilgore after Nike signed a Bulls rookie in October 1984 on a six year, 2.5 million dollar deal, roughly three times any other contract in the league at the time and, unusually, carrying a royalty on sales. Nike's projection was around 3 million dollars over three years. The GS run is where that shape gets handed to the next set of wearers at a price that does not require a queue.
