Air Jordan 1 RETRO High OG Artisanal Team Red

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 27 April 2024 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in White/Team Red. Artisanal is Jordan Brand deliberately roughening its own flagship. The Retro High OG is the faithful build of the 1985 shoe, Peter Moore's design with Bruce Kilgore, produced for Michael Jordan in November 1984 and sold publicly from April 1985, and it is normally the most precisely finished shoe in the range. Team red is a straightforward, saturated brand colour drawn from the founding Chicago palette of red, black and white. Applying a handmade, imperfect finish to that combination is the interesting decision: it takes the shoe most associated with mass demand and gives it the visual language of small batch leather goods.
