Designed by Peter Moore and released on 15 February 2019 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Turbo Green/White-Light Smoke Grey-Sail. Turbo Green is a saturated, almost synthetic green on the Retro High OG, the cut that stays closest to the Air Jordan I that Peter Moore designed with Bruce Kilgore. The original sold out its initial 50,000 pairs and passed 150 million dollars in sales against a Nike target of roughly 3 million over three years, and the reason the shape has survived every reinterpretation since is that its panels are separate enough to accept any colour without losing structure. Turbo Green tests that: it is a bright with no heritage attached, no team behind it and no story other than how it looks, and the High absorbs it without complaint.
A bright green needs cold, plain company. Black straight leg trousers, a white tee and a black jacket is the version that always works. For something looser, grey sweats with a white hoodie keep the palette neutral so the green stays the single event. Do not pair it with olive or khaki, which drag the tone down and make it look dirty rather than bright. The High suits cooler months and hems that break at the collar, and it takes a mid weight sock well. Clean the white leather quickly before marks set, use gentle foam on the green, and keep it out of prolonged sun so the pigment holds.
Jordan Brand's roster reaches across leagues now: Jayson Tatum, Zion Williamson, Luka Doncic, Russell Westbrook, Trae Young and Chris Paul in the NBA, Maya Moore and Jordin Canada in the WNBA, Jalen Hurts and Dak Prescott in the NFL, Aaron Judge and Derek Jeter in baseball. Signing athletes across that many sports means the brand's colour language cannot belong to one franchise any more, which is precisely why greens, purples and pinks now appear on a silhouette that started with a two colour team palette. The Jumpman carries the identity, so the colour is free to do something else entirely.
White leather forms the base with turbo green on the toe cap, eyestay, Swoosh and collar, block placement dictated by the OG panel seams. The high cut gives the full ankle collar and the complete lace run of the original proportions. Style code 555088 311, part of the code family the Retro High OG programme has used across its most collected colourways. No material weights, stack heights or foam specifications are published, so read the cut and colour block as the spec. Bright greens are pigment heavy and show scuffs as pale streaks rather than dark marks, so surface abrasion is more visible here than on a muted colourway.
