Designed by Peter Moore and released on 29 January 2025 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Summit White/Summit White/Photon Dust/Barely Green. Jordan Brand treats the Lunar New Year as a fixed point on its calendar, and the Air Jordan 1 Low OG has become the shape it keeps returning to: the Year of the Dragon, then the Year of the Snake, then the Year of the Horse. This is the Snake, style code HF3144-100, and it leans on the one thing a snake does that you can actually build a shoe around, shedding its skin. That is a renewal story, and it buys the design permission to work in texture rather than the red-and-gold shorthand most zodiac sneakers reach for. What comes out is one of the most restrained pairs in the whole CNY run: Summit White with Photon Dust and Barely Green, the Wings logo still stamped across the heel, released through Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers.
Utility
Two ways to wear the Air Jordan 1 Retro Low OG Year of the Snake. Clean: cuffed light-wash denim or off-white straight trousers, a grey or sage tee, and the Photon Dust panels look intentional instead of accidental. Layered: black or olive cargos and a cream crewneck, and the ripstop Swoosh becomes the only texture in the fit. Fit truth: the Air Jordan 1 Low fits true to size, so take your usual Jordan number. The toebox is narrow and tapered, so genuinely wide feet should go half a size up. Care matters here. The white leather takes a damp cloth and mild soap, the ripstop Swoosh needs a soft brush and nothing harsher, and both the sail midsole and the translucent outsole discolour in direct sun, so air dry in shade and store them away from light.

Construction
Every material here is doing snake work. The Swoosh is ripstop rather than leather, and the grid in that weave reads as shed skin from a metre away, the whole concept in one panel. Photon Dust leather takes the mudguard, the eyestays and the heel tab, a grey-green that shifts with the light instead of sitting flat. The base is Summit White leather, perforated across the toebox so the front of the shoe actually breathes, then smooth through the midfoot panel where you want an uninterrupted surface. The Wings logo on the heel is iridescent, tuned to catch light like a snake's eye. Underneath sits a sail midsole and a translucent rubber outsole, so the bottom reads warm rather than stark. It ships with a black snakeskin-textured Jumpman hang tag.
