The Air Jordan 4 is one of the shapes that made Tinker Hatfield's name during the run when he turned the line from a signature shoe into a design series with its own vocabulary. RM sits in Jordan Brand's programme of reworked takes on that shape rather than straight archive reissues, which means the 4's recognisable architecture, the wing eyelets, the moulded cage, the panelled midsole, is rebuilt for daily wear rather than for a museum. Reworked builds generally aim at comfort and durability over archive accuracy, so expect a shoe that tolerates real mileage better than an original spec retro would. Grey is a middling colour for maintenance: it hides less than black and more than white.
