Released on 15 August 2020 and part of Hoka's Bondi 7 line. This release has a mesh upper in Black/Black. This is the wide-fit Bondi 7 in triple black, style code 1110530 BBLC, and the width is the whole story. Hoka's founding idea, worked out in Annecy in 2009 by two former Salomon trail runners, was an oversized cushioned platform that let you attack descents, and the natural consequence of a big platform is that it suits a foot with volume. A dedicated wide build takes the model out of the compromise zone, where people size up in length to buy width and end up sliding around. Triple black then removes every visual cue that this is a specialist fit. It just looks like the shoe, in the size that works.
