Part of New Balance's 1906 line. This release has a mesh upper in White/Virtual Blue/Prism Purple. Hornets is a team palette, teal and purple, dropped onto the 1906R, and the pairing is smarter than a straight basketball makeup would be because this is a running derived shape wearing court colours. The number is the brand signing its own work: New Balance was founded in 1906 near Boston by William J Riley as the New Balance Arch Support Company, and the 1906 models carry that year on the box. The company also runs a real basketball programme, sponsoring the NBA and signing Kawhi Leonard whose OMN1S signature shoe launched in February 2019, so team coded colour is not a costume here.
