Part of the Court Royale line. This release has a leather upper in Black/White. Nike's first professional endorsement was not a basketball player. It was Ilie Nastase, a tennis player, and the Court line keeps that early chapter alive in the simplest possible form. Court Royale is a low, flat soled tennis silhouette with a leather style upper and a Swoosh, and nothing else asking for your attention. In black, it becomes the most usable shoe in the entire Nike catalogue: no colour to match, no era to signal, no hype to explain. This is the pair you own alongside the interesting ones, the one that gets worn on the days you do not want to think about it. That is not a small role.
