Adidas Samba OG White Victory Red Indigo

Released on 18 July 2024 and part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a leather upper in Core White/Team Victory Red/Night Indigo. White with victory red stripes and an indigo heel is the Samba running three colours at once, which is more than this silhouette usually carries. Victory red is a true, slightly blue leaning red rather than an orange one, and setting it against a deep indigo at the back gives the shoe a primary colour energy that most Samba releases avoid. adidas can do this because the shape absorbs decoration without losing itself: a low flat sole, a suede toe, three stripes down the side. Add colour and it becomes a different shoe, take colour away and it goes back to being the plainest thing in the range.
