Designed by Bruce Kilgore and released on 8 September 2023 as part of Nike's Air Force 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/Sail/Sail/Metallic Gold. The Swoosh was drawn by Carolyn Davidson, a graphic design student, first used on 18 June 1971 and registered as a trademark on 22 January 1974. It is the house mark, and almost every Nike shoe treats it as the loudest element on the upper. This women's Air Force 1 07 LX does the opposite. The Mini Swoosh treatment shrinks the mark down and then finishes it in metallic gold, so the logo becomes jewellery rather than signage. On a silhouette that became one of the most recognisable objects in American youth dress, that is a confident move: the shoe is legible without shouting, and the gold does the work a full-size Swoosh usually does.
First outfit: a cream or camel wool trouser, a white shirt, and gold hardware repeated at the ear or wrist so the Swoosh reads as part of a scheme. Second: black denim with a black tee and no other metal, letting the gold flash be the single warm note in an otherwise cold fit. The AF1 sits high on the ankle, so it prefers a full-length trouser that stacks slightly or a hem that clears the collar entirely, never something that catches halfway. Clean the leather with a damp cloth and mild soap, but keep water and brushes away from the metallic Swoosh, which will dull under abrasion long before the leather does. Store it laced and shaped.
From the 1980s onward Nike became a status symbol in urban and hip hop fashion, and Air Force 1s sat alongside Air Jordans and Air Max models as staples of mainstream American youth dress before returning through 1990s and 2000s casual and athleisure looks. The white AF1 is the purest version of that, a shoe that means nothing and everything depending on who laces it. A metallic gold mini Swoosh edits that lineage for a wardrobe rather than a court, keeping the shape everyone recognises while changing the register from loud to quiet. It is the Swoosh used the way a signature is used on a garment, small, deliberate and placed where you will find it.
Style code FV3654 111 marks this as an LX build, Nike's designation for upgraded execution on a familiar shape. The Air Force 1 Low is a thick, structured shoe: a full padded collar, a reinforced toe, a substantial midsole and a pivot-point outsole, all of which give it more presence than a Dunk. Nike Air, the pressurised gas unit sealed inside the midsole, is the cushioning platform the model was built on, and it is why an AF1 feels planted rather than springy underfoot. The metallic gold Swoosh is a surface treatment, so it wants gentler handling than the leather around it. On the women's last the shoe runs narrower through the midfoot while keeping the model's signature bulk.
