Released on 1 July 2025 and part of adidas's Samba line. This release has a leather upper in Better Scarlet/Cloud White/Gum. Holiday packs give adidas an excuse to do something the Samba normally resists: a loud colour. This Fourth of July Pack pair goes Scarlet, a saturated red across the upper that turns the most understated silhouette in the catalogue into the loudest shoe in the room. The Samba's shape is old and settled, which is precisely why colour experiments work on it; the outline does the recognising and the colour does the talking. adidas has run this playbook since the Trefoil era, when a single silhouette could carry any palette because the Three Stripes made it legible regardless. Scarlet with white stripes is that logic pushed as far as the shoe allows.
Two ways. Full white or off-white, wide trousers and a tee, so the shoe is the only saturated object in the fit. Or indigo denim with a navy jacket, using red as a hard accent against blue, which is the most classic pairing this colour has. It suits daytime, weekends and anywhere you want the outfit to have one obvious decision. Size true; the Samba last is narrow. Keep the scarlet leather away from abrasive cleaners, wipe with a damp cloth, protect the suede toe before first wear, and clean the gum sole with water rather than solvents. Store it away from direct sun, because saturated red is the first colour to fade unevenly.
Bright single-colour Sambas became a genuine street-style behaviour, the way people signalled they were past the neutral pairs. That escalation follows the pattern adidas has lived with since hip hop adopted the Superstar without being asked: the audience decides how far a silhouette can be pushed. Scarlet is at the far end. It is a shoe that anchors an outfit rather than supporting one, and it works best with people who dress around a single strong colour. Pack releases also change how a shoe circulates, because a colourway tied to a specific drop is finite in a way a general-line pair never is, and scarlet is the version people remember.
A scarlet leather upper with suede reinforcement across the toe, white stitched Three Stripes and a gum-family rubber outsole. The stripes here do maximum visual work because the contrast is at its highest, and they are still structural, holding the upper the way adidas has used them since acquiring the mark. Saturated red leather shows scuffs as pale marks rather than dark ones, so damage reads brighter than the surface, which is the maintenance catch. The Samba build stays low and narrow underfoot, so it looks slimmer than the colour suggests. The leather will soften and crease across the forefoot within the first few wears.
