Air Jordan Jordan 1 Mid Cherrywood Red

Designed by Peter Moore and released on 28 October 2022 as part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Cherrywood Red/Cement Grey/White. Cherrywood Red is a deep, wine leaning red rather than the bright Fire Red the line built itself on, and that difference is the whole idea. Chicago red, black and white function as Jordan Brand colours in their own right, so a darker red is a deliberate step sideways: recognisably in the family, clearly not a retro. It sits on the Air Jordan 1 Mid, the cut Jordan Brand uses to explore colour at volume. The pattern is Peter Moore's design with Bruce Kilgore, made for a Chicago Bulls rookie Nike signed on 26 October 1984 and released to the public on 1 April 1985, when the first 50,000 pairs sold out.
