Designed by Peter Moore and part of the Air Jordan 1 line. This release has a leather upper in Sail/Black/Sail/Cement Grey/Playful Pink/Field Purple. Punk Rock is a strange word to attach to a shoe born out of basketball and hip hop, and that friction is the design idea. Air Jordan reached culture through rap, through Spike Lee's Mars Blackmon advertising and through rappers including 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Ice Cube and Jay-Z. Borrowing from a different subculture entirely is the women's line taking the silhouette somewhere the original marketing never pointed. The shape underneath is still Peter Moore's, drawn with Bruce Kilgore before the shoe reached the public on 1 April 1985. SE marks it as a special edition, meaning the materials and detailing depart from the standard Low rather than just the colours.
